Miniature Fine Art Greeting Cards (Yay!)

Miniature Fine Art Greeting Cards (Yay!)

I am so excited for this.

Putting My Art on Greeting Cards

Ever since I got my printer, which is now a year ago, I've wanted to make greeting cards from my artworks. However, doing that was easier said than done (well, not really, but a year ago it felt like that), and after having a sudden urge to make this little dream come true, it took no more than a couple of weeks from how do I do this? to a stack of cards ready to ship.

The Impossible

The greatest obstacle was of course being able to actually fold Fine Art Smooth archival paper without it cracking and tearing. This paper is thick and sort of grainy (I don't expect people to agree on that, but it does have kind of a rugged surface on the printing side), and it doesn't handle folding well. The solution was a custom 3D printed scoring board made by my husband (he's the best). I am proud to say that only one card was damaged through this whole process 🏆

Never Compromising on Quality

Making giclée greeting cards may seem meaningless to some, but these miniature prints are so much more than just a card. They are small gifts with a personal message inside, that is made with care, love and museum-grade printing technology.
