Giving Back to Animals Through Handmade Art
Because every animal deserves compassion and protection
Support for Vulnerable Animals
Commissioned portraits of beloved companions do more than preserve a memory. They also give something back.
3% of commissioned pet portraits are donated to Dyrevernalliansen to help the animals who need it most – those trapped in animal testing, suffering on fur farms, or enduring poor conditions in industrial farming.
This donation helps support long-term change through political advocacy, research, and public education.
"We at Dyrevernalliansen are grateful for the support from dedicated small businesses. Contributions like this help make our work for better animal welfare possible."
— Celine Kronen Gutierrez-Mowinckel,
Marketing and Communications Consultant
Where Your Donation Makes the Greatest Impact
Dyrevernalliansen works to protect animals who face the greatest suffering—where the number of animals is highest and the potential for positive change is the greatest. This includes efforts to end animal testing, stop cruel practices in farming, and fight the fur industry.
Donations are made through their program “Give a Gift to the Animals” where funds are distributed to areas with the highest need. Dyrevernalliansen is approved by the Norwegian Fundraising Control Authority, and 83% of all donations go directly to helping animals. The remaining 17% are reinvested to reach more people and expand their impact.
How Donations Are Handled
Transparency and trust, every step of the way
All donation amounts generated from commissioned portraits are carefully documented and listed publicly further down this page – because transparency matters, and every gift deserves recognition. Anonymity is always an option. Otherwise, only a first name will normally be published, unless anonymity or a full name is preferred.
Donations are made after the artwork has been safely delivered, ensuring that all contributions reflect completed and fulfilled orders.
Thank you for supporting the protection of those who cannot speak for themselves.
Every receipt is a reflection of your care—thank you for helping make life better for animals.
